I am beginning a mini-series taken from aspects of my hometown of Saginaw, Michigan. I know the imagery above isn't necessarily a groundbreaking spin on Saginaw, but when something as powerful as violent crime envelopes a city for so long it is hard to get away from it. I promise to include some more positive and/or funny subject matter as the series progresses.

Saginawesome

Apart from the many bullets, is Saginaw awesome?
I looked at a map of Michigan, and you're a good hour away from the nearest Trader Joe's :~)
"Saginawesome" attempts to counterbalance its much more common (and most would say accurate) nickname "Sagnasty".
True, there is no Trader Joe's. Most likely because the type of people that would go to a Trader Joe's need to stay indoors with their doors locked at all times if they live in Saginaw.
